Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 28, 2026

This privacy policy covers two apps published by David Perkins: LogACog Coin Master Pro and Bithash. Each section below indicates which app it applies to.

Bithash — What We Collect

Bithash is a simulation game. It does not require an account, an email address, or any personal information. All game progress (rigs, components, fictional in-game tokens, lifetime stats, achievements) is stored locally on your device using IndexedDB. The only data that ever leaves your device is the optional global leaderboard described below — and only if you choose to join it. We do not run any analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs in Bithash.

If you subscribe to Bithash Pro, the in-app purchase is processed by Apple via StoreKit and the subscription state is managed by RevenueCat. We receive a pseudonymous user ID from RevenueCat to confirm your entitlement; we do not receive your Apple ID, payment details, or any other personal information. RevenueCat's own privacy policy applies to its handling of that ID: revenuecat.com/privacy.

Bithash does not request access to your camera, photo library, contacts, location, microphone, or any other device permission.

Bithash — Global Leaderboard (optional)

Bithash includes an optional global leaderboard that ranks players by their lifetime hash-token total. It is entirely opt-in: nothing is sent to our servers unless you choose to join by picking a display name. If you join, we store three things on our server (Supabase, hosted on AWS):

  • An anonymous device identifier — a random ID generated on your device. It is not linked to your Apple ID, name, email, or any personal information, and is never used for advertising or cross-app tracking. It exists only to tie your score to your entry.
  • Your chosen display name — shown to other players on the leaderboard. Please don't use your real name or any personal information if you'd rather stay anonymous.
  • Your lifetime hash-token total — the in-game score the leaderboard ranks. It is fictional in-game progress, not financial data.

Your display name and score are visible to other Bithash players. You can change your display name from the leaderboard screen. If you see an offensive display name, tap the report icon next to it — this sends us the reported entry plus your anonymous device identifier so we can review and, if needed, hide or reset the name.

To remove your leaderboard entry, email support@logacog.com with your display name and we'll delete it. Because the leaderboard never collects an email or account, we identify entries only by display name and the anonymous device id.

LogACog — What We Collect

LogACog collects the following information:

  • Account information: Email address, name, and password (encrypted) when you create an account.
  • Coin images: Photos you capture using your device camera, sent to our servers for AI-powered identification and stored in your personal collection.
  • Coin data: Information about your coins including denomination, year, country, condition, and AI-generated descriptions.
  • Usage data: Scan counts and feature usage to enforce subscription tier limits.
  • Payment information: If you subscribe to Pro, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details — Stripe handles all payment data securely.

LogACog — Camera & Photo Library

LogACog requests camera access solely to photograph coins for identification. Photo library access is used only when you choose to upload an existing image. You can revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings. Bithash does not request camera or photo library access.

LogACog — How We Use Your Data

  • To identify and catalogue your coins using AI analysis
  • To store and display your coin collection
  • To calculate portfolio valuations using live metal prices
  • To manage your subscription and account
  • To facilitate eBay listings if you choose to sell coins

LogACog — Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted on AWS) with row-level security policies. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.

LogACog — Third-Party Services

  • Anthropic (Claude AI): Coin images are sent to Anthropic's API for identification. Anthropic does not use API inputs to train their models. Images are processed and not retained beyond the API request.
  • Stripe: Payment processing for Pro subscriptions. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.
  • Supabase: Database and file storage hosting.
  • eBay: If you connect your eBay account, listing data is shared with eBay to create and manage listings.
  • Gold-API.com: Live metal prices are fetched for portfolio valuation. No personal data is sent.

LogACog — Data Retention & Deletion

Your LogACog data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete individual coins from your collection at any time. To delete your entire account and all associated data, please contact us at the email below and we will process your request within 30 days. Bithash stores all game data locally on your device; deleting the app removes all of it. If you joined the Bithash global leaderboard, your entry (anonymous device id, display name, score) stays on our server until you request removal as described in the Bithash Global Leaderboard section above.

Analytics

Neither LogACog nor Bithash uses any third-party analytics or tracking services. No advertising SDKs are included in either app.

Children's Privacy

Neither LogACog nor Bithash is intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated date.
